Transfagarasan Highway

Key Driving Rules

Romania speed limits: 50 km/h in towns, 90 km/h outside, 130 km/h on motorways. The Transfagarasan itself has a 40 km/h advisory limit in hairpin sections. Headlights must be on at all times outside built-up areas. A road vignette (rovinieta) is required for Romanian roads.
