Santander’s zone is one of the few Spanish ZBEs that switches off. The council’s own ZBE site states “las restricciones solo se aplican de lunes a viernes de 8 a 19 horas” — zbesantander.es — so at the weekend, on public holidays and after seven in the evening the perimeter is open to everything. What it stops during those hours is narrow too: “los vehículos con etiqueta A o sin etiqueta están completamente prohibidos en la ZBE desde el 1 de enero de 2026”. Everything from a DGT B label upwards drives in normally.
