Örebro — no emission zone
Sweden’s environmental zones took their current shape on 1 January 2020, when the system was split into three classes. Class 1, the oldest, restricts heavy lorries and buses: six years from first registration, eight for Euro II and newer, and no limit at all for Euro VI. Class 2 is the one that touches ordinary drivers — petrol cars need Euro 5 or 6 and diesels Euro 6 — and class 3 admits only electric, fuel-cell and Euro VI gas vehicles.
