Leave the car outside the zone and walk to the Piazza Ducale, built in 1492-1494 at the wish of Ludovico il Moro: a rectangle of 134 by 48 metres lined with porticoes and frescoed facades, with the Sforza castle behind it. Italy’s rules: 50 km/h in towns, 0.5 g/l alcohol, zero for drivers under 21 and in their first three years.
