Segovia’s planned Zona de Bajas Emisiones did not survive in court: the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Castilla y León declared the ordinance null for procedural defects, and its start has been postponed. No DGT label is checked and no low-emission fine is written, whatever your car’s age. The limit on driving here is the old town itself, a narrow ridge entered beneath the Roman aqueduct, so park below at the Plaza del Azoguejo end and walk its length to the Alcázar.

Park below the aqueduct, walk up
Leave the car in a car park below the old town near the aqueduct and walk the ridge to the cathedral and the Alcázar. Spain’s general rules apply: 50 km/h in town unless signed lower, and 0.05% blood alcohol.
An easy Madrid trip
