Schramberg abolished its Umweltzone on 1 March 2023, so no green sticker or zone fine applies. Pforzheim (about 78 km) and Stuttgart (about 85 km) still require one.
Can your car enter Schramberg?
For almost ten years, from 1 July 2013 to 1 March 2023, a car needed a green sticker to drive into Schramberg. The zone is gone, nothing replaced it, and the Black Forest town where five valleys meet can now be reached with any car. Its pull is the clock-making past of Junghans, whose stepped hillside factory is now a museum, and three castle ruins on the heights above.

Parking and the valley town
Park in the town centre and walk to the Junghans Terrassenbau Museum and the old town; the castle paths start nearby. Germany’s basics: 50 km/h in towns, 100 km/h outside, 0.05% alcohol, zero for drivers under 21 and in their probationary period.
Into the Black Forest
Triberg and the Kinzig valley are sticker-free. The nearest active zones are Pforzheim, about 78 km away, and Stuttgart, about 85 km, which adds a ban on diesel cars of Euro 4 and below.
