Park in an underground garage near the centre and walk the largely pedestrian streets around the cathedral, the Plaza de las Flores and the tapas squares. Spain’s general limits apply: 50 km/h in town, lower on single-lane urban streets, and 0.05% blood alcohol.

Keep it for the Costa Cálida, the Mar Menor lagoon and Cartagena, driven from a central garage.
