What the city actually restricts

The City of Vienna’s own page on the IG-L driving ban describes a permanent prohibition on lorries, articulated vehicles and tractor units in exhaust classes Euro 0, Euro 1 and Euro 2, covering the entire municipal area including the motorways that run through it. The Euro 0 stage began in 2008, aimed at vehicles first registered before 1 January 1992, and an amendment in December 2013 extended it to Euro 1 and Euro 2. Passenger cars appear nowhere in it.

Nothing to buy for a car
