Here is the genuinely useful, non-obvious fact: Myanmar drives on the right, the same as the United States, so there is no left-hand-traffic relearning to do. The catch is the fleet. Myanmar imports a large number of right-hand-drive vehicles, so you may find yourself sitting on the right of the car while driving on the right of the road. That mismatch makes overtaking genuinely awkward — your view down the oncoming lane is poor — so be conservative about passing, especially on two-lane rural highways.
Speeds and conditions
Town limit is around 48 km/h, rural roads 80, and the newer expressways run to 100 km/h — close to the US numbers you are used to, so the speeds themselves will not feel alien.
