India requires foreign drivers to carry an International Driving Permit alongside their home licence. For a Brazilian licence holder this is not optional or a “nice to have”: rental companies will refuse the car without it, and a roadside check expects to see the IDP, your Brazilian licence and your passport together. Arrange the permit in Brazil before you fly, because you cannot obtain one once you have landed. The permit is valid for up to a year, which comfortably covers any tourist visit.
